Contributing Associate Rather Tenacious, BabyGirl07, and The Shaw

kicked the

New Year Off with the HauntX Convention in Los Angeles at the LAX Hilton in February 2007

RT had a ball and the Wolfe Brothers designed her face as a

Cheetah/Leopard.

RT took pictures with the celebrity guest and had plenty of laughs with Director George Romero, Actor Tony Todd (The Candyman), Theresa Tilly (Evil Dead) and others.

When the day was over RT had fun "hamming it up" with her Cheetah face for the camera at home.

However, despite all the fun Rather Tenacious indicates that she is still a Friend-girl and Super Fangirl of Actor Lance Henriksen and Lance is still her favorite Actor and person.

Lance brings the animal out of Rather Tenacious and she loves seeing Lance in uniform.

Come Out and Support Short Films

Background

In July 2004 Luscious International Pictures commissioned acclaimed actor,
novelist and scriptwriter Shane Briant to write a short story script for director
Richard Gibson. The script was inspired by the magazine short story
“Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” by Ambrose Bierce, published in 1891.
Richard had already spent a considerable amount of time directing and
working with American actor Lance Henriksen and the project was further
developed with him in mind for the lead.
Set in Iraq, the location posed a challenge for producers as it was essential
that the shoot take place in Sydney. After an exhausted search of the
greater Sydney area, the production settled on the Serenity Cove Studios’
back lot to double for Fallujah.
The script underwent several rewrites to accommodate location and
schedules of all involved, which culminated in a December 2004 shoot. The
film relied on several large effects shots to help establish a real sense of
being in Iraq.
As is common with short films the producers had to rely on the enormous
generosity and goodwill of everyone that contributed their talent, time or
facilities to the making of the film for which they will always be grateful. The
result of these efforts is a very emotional and highly charged drama that
once again demonstrates the futility of war and the devastating effect it has
on ordinary lives.
The now titled A MESSAGE FROM FALLUJAH is a powerful and confronting
film that will strike a cord with audiences around the world. The film stars
Lance Henriksen with support from a distinguished cast including: Shane
Briant, Elizabeth Maywald, Peter Yacoub, Wadih Dona and Paul Tessone. Six
of the remaining cast were recruited from young NIDA graduates, some
making their debut on the big screen in this film. “A MESSAGE FROM
FALLUJAH” has been entered into several of the major festivals worldwide.
Luscious International Pictures has several feature film projects in advanced
stages of development and an announcement on those will be made soon.

Luscious International Pictures is a Sydney based production company that
was formed to develop and produce feature films, television drama and
animated films for the international market.
RICHARD GIBSON (Director)
Richard Gibson is an award-winning director of 15 years experience and
partner in Luscious International Pictures. Born in England, Richard moved to
New Zealand at an early age with his family. Prior to 1986 when he entered
Film School and gained a Bachelor of Broadcasting Degree, Richard had
worked as both a musician and an engineer. He started his film career with
video clips and documentaries and began shooting television commercials
in 1991 whilst based in New Zealand.
Richard’s talent has seen him travel the world directing cinema and
television commercials. His style combines not only an incredible eye for
beautiful imagery, but he manages to draw upon an inner vision allowing
him to create additional effects during the post production process. His work
is an amalgamation of creative genius combined with a beautiful shooting
technique. Richard’s career has also seen him awarded for his character
driven pieces as he is able to delve into the psyche of both the most
complex and also the most simple characters. This is also due in part to his
ability to develop a complete storyline in a very short period of time.
ANDREW MORRIS (Producer)
Andrew Morris is an award-winning producer with over 20 years experience
in the production industry and partner in Luscious International Pictures.
Andrew began his career working in the creative department of an
advertising agency before being promoted to the Head of Production and
member of the board of Chiat Day Advertising, one of the world’s most
creative agencies.
After several years at this post Andrew moved onto the other side of the
camera as Senior Producer at Australia’s most awarded television
commercial production company. Andrew worked internationally and was
dually based out of New York and Sydney, shooting for clients throughout
the world and in every conceivable location from Iceland to the Sahara
and Chile to Slovenia. This experience has seen Andrew work under the most

extreme conditions using possibly every technique available.

Super Fan Paulina of Restless Moon Gallery is scheduled to appear at Sceamfest 2006 in Orlando, Florida. This talented professional artist will display her gift of artistry in the vendor area. Paulina became aquainted with the convention scene having attended and displayed her work at Monster Mania 5 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Paulina's main reason to attend Monster Mania 5 was to finally meet Actor/Artist Lance Henriksen. And meet Lance she did. Paulina is also a Contributing Associate of La Femme Nikita07 and Associates.

Paulina, Lance, and Rather Tenacious have to go now; however, if you imagine hard enough you can find Paulina under a Restless Moon drawing up a storm.

Rather Tenacious is preparing for her theaterical debut in MET2's Off-Broadway production of "Peter Pan" scheduled for April 2007 in Los Angeles County. When asked, Rather Tenacious (RT) volunteered to help build the sets. However, RT mentioned that she could paint, use a screwdriver and bring people water.

And Lance could be anywhere in the world. Hence, I always say " Seeya when I Seeya".

Hi, I am "Rather Tenacious" for La Femme Nikita07 and Associates. I plan on telling you about two beautiful "human beings" I met this year through blogging, attending conventions, and hanging out with La Femme Nikita07 and Associates.

They are two very special people with hearts more precious than "Silver and Gold". I hope the rest of 2006 continues to bring such spirted people in my life and yours if even a second and/or for a little while. Besides that's what creates memories.

The Meeting of Professional Artists

Actor/Artist Lance Henriksen thought he was meeting another fan of his lifetime achievements as an actor. However, he did not know that the fan was also a professional artist. Whereas Lance uses his artistic talents on platters and tiles and the old "the silver screen". Artist Paulina Stuckey-Cassidy uses paper and other related tools. I have seen both of these artist's work and felt the hearts of their souls through their work and it was and is a beautiful experience. I am an artist in other expressions; however, my recognition for artists and the opportunity to see and feel their work is like a search for scents of my flavorite flowers and herbs found in the wild and after finding them I collapse within the sweet essence of their beauty and aroma and allow my mind to temporarily take me away from the troubles of this world and think only "happy thoughts" as the character "Peter Pan" did in the movie "Hook" starring Actor Robin Williams so "Peter" could fly again. There is nothing like wild Sage and Lavendar growing alone the hillside untouched by most human beings.

Excerpt From Interview with Lance Henriksen and his Art by Josh Jabcuga, Squib Central @ www.moviepoopshoot.com:

" Josh Jabcuga: Who were some of your artistic influences?

"Lance Henriksen: Oh God, there’s so many. I mean, for different reasons, like, I mean, every.... You know what it really was, too? Most of the artists, like Picasso, of that era, you know, Picasso’s era, where you have Modigliani and all those guys in Paris in the 20s, that was a very radical era. And remember, my true youth was in the 60s, so we were radical too. You know, we had a lot of stuff going on. So all the contemporaries, they didn’t have heroes. We didn’t look at other artists and go, “That’s my hero.” We were trying to make ourselves the hero. “I wanna make my statement.” You know, so it’s a different thing. When I see the struggle in the artist, like Picasso even said, “The apples could be fifty times more beautiful, but all I see in them is the anxiety, the power of the anxiety.” And what I’m trying to get at is that art, like what I do on the tiles, or what somebody does in a painting, it’s meant to be used, to be taken, take that idea. Like I love (Edvard) Munche because he was so, he’s Scandinavian, and I understood that, you know, that Midsummer’s Night thing, where there’s no dark, you know, and it’s a crazy world and he’s got it. It’s right there; you can see it. And who doesn’t like him?"

Art is a form of communication that can speak to you if you open yourself to it and allow it. It reminds me of my favorite quote (author unknown) "If you do not understand my silence, then you will not understand my words." Artist including me use various forms to communicate; however, not necessarily the same all the time. That is why I enjoy original works of art and not "cookie cutter" things. Well "cookie cutters" have a place; however, not in this area. The amazing thing about my artistry is that I enjoy creating it and after that emotion is expereinced I enjoy giving it away. I do not understand the reasons behind a lot of things that I do. However, art of all various shapes, sounds, etc. is to be shared with the world. Artists are normally not selfish people. However, it is too bad that many works of art are no longer at museums where all can see but in private collections with no showings and lending of the work for a tour. By Lafemmenikita07

Interview with Lance Henriksen and his Art by Josh Jabcuga, Squib Central @ www.moviepoopshoot.com:

"As far as your artistic upbringing…was your family…?

Lance Henriksen: It’s very interesting you ask that ‘cause I didn’t go to college. I didn’t even go to high school. But my grandfather was really, he had like ten kids and he painted his whole life so I was always surrounded by art. And then when I was sixteen I left…I left home pretty young but I started painting murals and traveling, but it was all on guts alone. And over the years what happens is you…if you’re trying to be an artist you run into other people who are further along than you are, but they always are generous. I mean I’ve never met an artist that’s not generous. If he isn’t generous then he’s probably no good anyway. You know, because, the whole thing about art is unless you give it away, it dries up. Everything you put out there comes back to you tenfold. I mean there’s no doubt about it.

Josh Jabcuga: Who were some of your artistic influences?

There’s a lot of wonderful artists but as I got older, I love things like Giger’s work. I mean, an ironic thing has happened to me: all the arts have now come to movies. You have great sculptors, you have musicians, you have writers, all these incredible artists have come to the entertainment industry, and I’m surrounded by it all the time. So it has become more of a…sort of a way of life that you have to believe in the music that’s in you and try anything. Don’t be afraid to try anything.

Josh Jabcuga: What do you see when you look at your finished piece and what do you hope your fans and the critics will see?

Lance Henriksen: Really, you know, trying to make an artifact…an artifact for something that never really happened. You know, we made the movies, but this is a tangible artifact from that, like a step back from that. In other words, if you suddenly dug one of these up and said, “Oh my God, it’s an alien!” That feeling is kind of nice, and that we live with them. It’s meant to be like that.

Josh Jabcuga: Authentic.

Lance Henriksen: Yeah. Something authentic. Something more tangible than a glossy picture.

Josh Jabcuga: Have you spoken with Giger at all? Has he had any say in this project?

Lance Henriksen: I’ve had three opportunities to meet Giger. I met him, believe it or not, before I was an actor, in New York City. Uh, I wasn’t an actor, but he was having an exhibition there. And I walked in off the street. I just saw his paintings and walked in off the street. And there he was and I just said, “Man, these are…these are something. They’re different.” He was very generous and happy about it. But I gotta tell you, over the years now, to watch his development, this guy is an amazing artist.

Josh Jabcuga: He’s an icon himself.

Lance Henriksen: He sure is, yeah. But you only become an icon when you stay true to your sensitivities and act on them. It’s…you know, that’s the whole deal.

Josh Jabcuga: Do you listen to music while you’re creating your art? Do you have anything playing in the background?

Lance Henriksen: Yeah, I…you know, odd stuff. Like I like Indonesian, uh, you know, that bell music and their drums and all that stuff. I will listen to any kind of music as long as…it’s just meant to be an environment. I don’t listen to hard rock. I’m more into sounds than anything else.

Josh Jabcuga: Ambient?

Lance Henriksen: Yeah, but not like elevator music.

Josh Jabcuga: Right. Not Muzak.

Lance Henriksen: Right. But I do love, uh, I like African music, I mean I like really kinda esoteric, tribal stuff, ‘cause to me, I’m still looking for my…probably will ‘til the day I die, but I’m looking for sorta rights of manhood. What are we meant to do? How do I feel those feelings? I can’t go hunt a lion down with a spear, but I have the urge. And so that’s I think what art is about for me. It’s…I’m into acting because I’m not very fond of authority for its own sake. I love doing what I do because I don’t have to answer to an authority. Not even when I’m working. And I’m into the arts for almost rights of manhood kinda thing.

Josh Jabcuga: You mentioned how Giger was generous to you. Do you have any advice for up and coming artists?

Lance Henriksen: Sure.

Josh Jabcuga: What would you say to up and coming artists?

Lance Henriksen: I just think the most important thing is to work until you become obsessed and that’s where it all begins. Once you’re obsessed, once you know you’re obsessed, that’s when your work really is beginning. You’re gonna find your way once the obsession…you know that you’re obsessed. Nobody can lie about it. It is as haunting as…it puts you into such a state of longing as if it were a drug. And so that’s the answer.

Josh Jabcuga: Thank you so much. It’s really been an honor meeting you and having this opportunity to talk with you.

Lance Henriksen: Thank you Josh, for your interview.

Josh Jabcuga: It’s always great to meet artists like you.

Lance Henriksen: Thank you, buddy. Now I can have a cigarette. "(Both laugh.)
