Actor/Artist Lance Henriksen is kickin it with many of his Super Fans at a Celebrity Bash in celebration of Lance receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Burbank Hilton in Burbank, California June 2006 and Monster Mania 5 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey May 2006. This is just one of the many things that Lance does well and why Lance has such an almost "cult" like following of loyal fans.

Only a Super Fan could get Lance to smile like this and did. Super Fans can make any of their admired stars feel special because Super Fans are special. I read that Lance really does not see himself as a "star" ; however, for lack of a better word I am sure Lance won't be bothered by my usage in this blog. Do you know what a Super Fan is?
Super fans are fans that have the ability to influence and/or persuade other fans to see, reject, and/or ignore movies and films that do not meet their expectations and/or not true to the genre of horror, science fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, and most importantly comics. Super Fans know the history of the characters and whether what was done in a scene is accurate and/or logical based on the book or comic and even the prior movie of a sequel. Super Fans are opinioned and brutally honest and extremely wise with their economic dollar. However, if you can win the Super Fan over you may have a lifetime fan and free positive publicity. Super Fans exist all around us and in various occupations. One comment thread is that they primarily use the Internet to share their "likes and/or dislikes" about actors/actresses, movies and film plots and whether other fans should watch the movie at the expensive theater or wait for DVD or cable. Super Fans have been around a long time. However, while in a time when mostly everybody is on some kind of budget referring to Super Fans for entertainment recommendations is as commonplace as a fork and spoon. Super Fans are Bloggers, Blogmasters, Webmasters, etc. The word of their message crosses the United States into other countries where our American movies also distributed. To get a glimpse of the amount of Super Fans consider the amount of people that will attend the conventions this year such as: Fangoria, Monster Mania, San Diego Comic Con, Anime, WonderCon, Film Festivals and other venues. Those that ignore the Super Fans debate over what went wrong when their project performs less than expected and/or the feedback are very critical.

Henriksen - A Face SciFi Can’t Get Enough Of
Lance Henriksen is one of maybe a handful of actors that scifi and genre related fans would prefer to see in a SF film, even over and above a blockbuster big-budget actor. Another actor who fits that prestigious SF category would be Michael Ironside. There is just that, what the industry calls “SOMETHING,” that Henriksen has that makes him a joy to watch in any role, but especially scifi and horror.
Lance has starred in his share of huge movie and TV projects including, “The X-Files,” his own show that was a spinoff of X-Files - “Millennium.” And, let’s not forget his memorable performances in the “Alien” franchise, “Near Dark,” “The Terminator” and that little scifi pic from Steven Spielberg called “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” One quick note - Michael Bay is thinking of doing a remake of “Near Dark” and if he is smart, his people should have gotten Lance on the phone - like, yesterday!
The veteran actor has starred or been featured in nearly 125 films, TV roles, voice work on animation and video games and is acknowledged to be one of the most sought after character actors in Hollywood history. In 2006 he can be seen in ten different projects ranging from voice work on “When a Stranger Calls,” “The Chosen One” and “Superman: Brainiac Attacks” to feature film “Bone Dry” and the next two Pumpkin Head movies “Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes” and the 2007 release of “Pumpkinhead IV: Love Hurts” where he reprises the role of Ed Harley in each.
As far as scifi fans are concerned we’ll pay to see guys like Lance Henriksen, Michael Ironside or Bruce Campbell over the likes of a Tom Cruise any day of the week. Lance - keep at it, your fans are out here eagerly waiting your next project."
